Buccaneers opening extension talks with William Gholston
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have opened extension talks with defensive end William Gholston.
"We have had dialogue," general manager Jason Licht said. "He’s definitely a priority." Gholston had three sacks last year but is one of the better run stoppers in the league. The Bucs have around $65.2 million in cap space.
The Bucs can't afford to lose a player with Gholston's skills on the defensive line, as they ranked 10th-lowest this year in opponent-adjusted Defensive Rushing Net Expected Points per play.
