Chargers probably going to use tag on Melvin Ingram
Free agent linebacker Melvin Ingram is expected to be franchise tagged by the San Diego Chargers, reports ESPN's Adam Schefter.
What It Means:
This was an easy decision for the Chargers. Ingram, who turns 28 in April, was second on the team with eight sacks last season. He also forced a team-high four fumbles.
San Diego finished last season ranked 12th in schedule-adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points allowed per play.
