Nick Perry shaping up to be a hot commodity
Green Bay Packers impending free agent linebacker Nick Perry is a coveted name this offseason, says Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports.
Head coach Mike McCarthy made it clear Wednesday while speaking at the combine that he would like to re-sign Perry, but per La Canfora, the Packers won't be the only ones interested in the linebacker's services. Perry had 11 sacks this past season after recording four in 2015, and Pro Football Focus says he finished as the fourth-best 3-4 outside linebacker in football against the run.
The Packers finished 2016 ranked 22nd in schedule-adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points allowed per play.
