Chris Baker signs with Buccaneers on three-year deal
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed defensive lineman Chris Baker, formerly of Washington, to a three-year contract.
Baker will make over $6 million per year, according to CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora. After playing on the end in Washington's 3-4 scheme, look for Baker to move inside next to Gerald McCoy, giving the Buccaneers a formidable defensive interior.
The Buccaneers finished last season ranked 13th in schedule-adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points allowed per play, but were only 23rd in that same metric against the run.
