Logan Ryan

Titans improve secondary with Logan Ryan signing

The Tennessee Titans signed defensive back Logan Ryan, formerly of the New England Patriots, to a three-year, $30 million contract.

What It Means:

General manager Jon Robinson, also formerly of the Patriots, helped select Ryan with the 83rd pick in the 2013 draft. Ryan has been starting opposite Malcolm Butler for the past two seasons and has been a plus contributor since his rookie campaign. He's still just 26 and is a much needed upgrade for Tennessee's pass defense.

Ryan will join a Titans secondary that was fifth-worst in the league last season in schedule-adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points allowed per play.
