Falcons give Dontari Poe a one-year deal
The Atlanta Falcons signed defensive lineman Dontari Poe, formerly of the Kansas City Chiefs, to a one-year, $8 million contract.
Falcons assistant general manager Scott Pioli is plenty familiar with Poe after selecting him with the 11th overall pick in 2012 while making decisions for the Chiefs. Poe was an every-down player in Kansas City, but that might change in Atlanta after some concerns arose about his back during the free agency process.
The Falcons finished last season ranked 25th in schedule-adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points allowed per play.
