Eagles looking to trade linebacker Najee Goode
The Philadelphia Eagles are hoping to trade inside linebacker Najee Goode as they make their final roster cuts, according to Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer.
What It Means:
With DeMeco Ryans, Kiko Alonso, Mychal Kendricks, Brad Jones, and rookie Jordan Hicks in the fold alongside Goode, the Eagles have a wealth of talent at inside linebacker. They had been hoping to trade Kendricks earlier this offseason, but signed him to a contract extension. Goode is now the odd man out in the rotation.
The linebacking corps is one of the Philadelphia defense's major strengths, and one of the big reasons why we project their D/ST unit to finish as the sixth-best in fantasy football in 2015. Goode himself isn't an option in IDP leagues.
