Bills cut quarterback Matt Simms
The Buffalo Bills have cut quarterback Matt Simms, according to Vic Carucci of The Buffalo News.
It had been rumored that the Bills would be cutting another quarterback named Matt -- Matt Cassel -- though that could still be coming.
Simms completed 27 of 46 passes in the preseason for 288 yards (6.3 yards per attempt) with a touchdown and an interception. Cassel -- whose fate remains in limbo -- finished 2014 ranked 42nd in our schedule-adjusted Passing Net Expected Points per play out of the 48 quarterbacks who recorded at least 75 dropbacks.
