Jeremy Lane

Seahawks testing trade market for Jeremy Lane

The Seattle Seahawks are gauging the trade value of defensive back Jeremy Lane, reports Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

What It Means:

Lane joins wide receiver Jermaine Kearse and running back Alex Collins on Seattle's trade block, but he's the most surprising name of the three, as the 27-year-old corner has been expected to start opposite Richard Sherman. If he's dealt, third-round rookie Shaquill Griffin will likely take over the job.

The Seahawks' secondary finished 15th last season in opponent-adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points per play.
