Bears' Markus Wheaton (finger) limited in practice on Thursday
Chicago Bears wide receiver Markus Wheaton (finger) remained limited in practice on Thursday.
Wheaton missed the season opener after breaking a finger in practice a month ago. The fact that he is practicing at all this week bodes well for him to make his Chicago debut in Week 2 versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He could be pressed into heavy action on Sunday with the Bears' receiving corp decimated by the season-ending injuries to Cam Meredith and Kevin White.
Our models see Wheaton catching just 1.5 passes for 19.7 yards in his Bears' debut on Sunday.
