Texans release 2015 third-round pick Jaelen Strong
The Houston Texans waived wide receiver Jaelen Strong.
Taken with the 70th overall pick in the 2015 draft, Strong was unable to stay on the field for Houston. After being suspended for the season opener, Strong logged just 20 snaps and failed to see a target in his Week 2 season debut on Thursday Night Football. Still only 23, he'll likely be given another chance, but there's not a lot of reason for optimism in regards to Strong's NFL future at this point.
Over 19 career games (3 starts) with the Texans, Strong saw 48 targets and finished with 28 catches, 292 receiving yards, and 3 touchdowns.
