Dolphins' suspend Lawrence Timmons indefinitely
The Miami Dolphins have suspended linebacker Lawrence Timmons indefinitely for violating team rules.
Timmons disappeared as he dealt with a personal issue Saturday night into Sunday. He didn't play on Sunday but did return to the team on Monday. Nevertheless, the Dolphins have decided to punish him for his actions. It's uncertain how long the suspension will last, but with the situation so murky Timmons' future with the team could be in doubt. In the meantime, Mike Hull will man the middle for the Dolphins' defense.
Timmons has yet to play a regular-season snap after signing a two-year, $12 million deal with the Dolphins in the offseason. If and when he returns, we project the veteran backer to tally 93.3 tackles, 1.6 sacks and 2.8 pass defenses in 2017.
