Rams sign Alec Ogletree to four-year extension
The Los Angeles Rams and inside linebacker Alec Ogletree have agreed to a four-year extension worth $42 million.
The deal has been in the works for some time and will keep Ogletree with the Rams until 2021. Over $30 million is expected to be guaranteed, which should bode well for Aaron Donald, when the Rams finally decide to pay him. Ogletree has been a solid and durable defensive playmaker, but the Rams have to be hoping for more with this kind of commitment.
Through 4 full seasons, Ogletree has had at least 111 tackles in 3 of the 4. In the other, he played just 4 games due to a broken leg. This year, the 26-year-old has totaled 35 tackles, 2 sacks and 2 pass defenses through 5 weeks.
