Chiefs re-sign C.J. Spiller for running back depth

The Kansas City Chiefs have re-signed running back C.J. Spiller for the fourth time.

What It Means:

Spiller has been on and off the Chiefs' roster since the preseason, and with Charcandrick West dealing with a concussion, Spiller will be used in a depth role behind Kareem Hunt. Akeem Hunt will also likely see his role increased if West misses Thursday's game against the Oakland Raiders.

Spiller appeared in six games in 2016 with the Seahawks and the Jets, rushing just 6 times for 18 yards, and adding 6-of-13 targets for 50 yards and 1 touchdown receiving.
