Stephon Tuitt (back) ruled out for Steelers in Week 8
Pittsburgh Steelers defensive lineman Stephon Tuitt will not play on Sunday, reports Steel City Insider's James Wexell.
Tuitt sat out last week and will continue to do so this week. The fact that he's been ruled out on Thursday doesn't bode well for his Week 9 availability either. As he remains out Tyson Alualu should see more time as the Steelers look to compensate for one of their best defensive players.
As he's dealt with injuries, Tuitt has managed just 8 tackles and 1 pass defensed in 4 games. While he's projected for 18.2 tackles, 0.9 sacks and 1.3 passes defensed over the rest of year, the Steelers' defense is projected for 10.2 FanDuel points Week 8 against the Detroit Lions.
