Dolphins' Kiko Alonso will not be suspended for Week 8 hit on Ravens' Joe Flacco
Miami Dolphins linebacker Kiko Alonso will not be suspended for his hit on Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco, National Football League spokesman Joe Lockhart said.
Alonso hit Flacco in the head with his forearm while the quarterback was sliding on Thursday Night Football in Week 8. He was penalized on the play, but the league apparently didn't think the action warranted a penalty. The Dolphins face the Oakland Raiders on Sunday Night Football in Week 9.
In seven games this season, Alonso has 46 tackles (40 solo), 1 sack, 1 pass deflection, and 1 forced fumble. As a team, the Dolphins rank 17th in Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points allowed per play.
