Dolphins say Jordan Cameron (groin) is considered day-to-day
Miami Dolphins tight end Jordan Cameron (groing) is being called day-to-day.
It's yet another injury for Cameron, but this one, thankfully, is not to his head. Cameron left the team's Week 2 matchup because of the injury and did not return. If he can't go in Week 3, Jake Stoneburner will again see action in the Dolphins' passing game.
The Dolphins don't have any shortage of mouths to feed, but Cameron is still third on the team in targets despite missing the second half of Week 2. Cameron has caught 7 of his 11 targets, turning them into 12.37 Reception Net Expected Points (NEP). In limited action last year, Cameron finished 14th in Reception NEP per target out of the 32 tight ends with at least 40 targets. If he can go Week 3, our projections have him catching 4 passes for 40 yards and 0.25 touchdowns.
