Seahawks sign Byron Maxwell
The Seattle Seahawks have signed former Miami Dolphins cornerback Byron Maxwell.
With Richard Sherman (Achilles) done for the season, Seattle was on the market for a corner, and they settled on Maxwell, who was released by the Dolphins in October. Maxwell started his career in Seattle, playing four years with the Seahawks before joining the Philadelphia Eagles in 2015.
Maxwell joins a Seahawks defense that ranks third in numberFire's Defensive Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) metric. numberFire's models project Seattle to finish 10-6, and give them a 66.6% chance of making the playoffs.
