Bears expected to sign kicker Mike Nugent
The Chicago Bears are reportedly close to signing kicker Mike Nugent with incumbent kicker Cairo Santos suffering a groin injury.
What It Means:
Santos suffered the injury in pregame warmups on Sunday, and it's serious enough for the Bears to place him on IR. Nugent's fantasy appeal going forward is somewhat limited by the Bears' offense though.
Nugent went 7-for-9 on field goal attempts during a brief stint with the Cowboys earlier in 2017.
