Ex-Steeler James Harrison signs with Patriots
Former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison has signed with the New England Patriots, reports ESPN's Field Yates.
Harrison visited the team on Tuesday, three days after being let go by the Steelers. Save for one year, the five-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro linebacker spent the entirety of his career with Pittsburgh, but the team's youth on defense has held him to just five games and 29 snaps in 2017. He'll look to bolster a team ranked 17th in the league in sack percentage (6.4%) through 16 weeks.
Harrison has just one sack and three tackles on the year. He had tallied 80.5 sacks over 177 games and 107 career starts with the Steelers.
