Eugene Sims returns to Rams' practice Wednesday
St. Louis Rams defensive end Eugene Sims returned to practice Wednesday for the first time since Week 1, according to Nick Wagoner of ESPN.
Sims had been battling a knee injury that he suffered in the opening game, but he was listed as a full participant in practice. This could help make up for the loss of linebacker Alec Ogletree, who had ankle surgery on Tuesday.
The Rams' defense has fared well in the reserve Sims's absence, but they'll need all hands on deck in Week 5. They're going up against a Grene Bay Packers team that ranks fifth in Adjusted Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) per play. The Rams appear to be a good matchup as they are sixth on the defensive side, but it'll take a complete effort to slow down quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
