Eagles' Trey Burton 'expected to leave' in free agency
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Philadelphia Eagles tight end Trey Burton is "expected to leave Philly" in free agency this offseason.
Philadelphia is pretty well taken care of at tight end, with Zach Ertz and Brent Celek at the top, so they could afford to allow Burton his opportunity on the market. He's expected to have a strong market as 16 teams have checked in on him this week. He could find his way to a starting role in 2018.
In 15 games, Burton hauled in 23-of-31 targets for 248 yards and 5 touchdowns.
