Eagles' Michael Bennett indicted on felony charge
Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Michael Bennett has been indicted on a felony charge of injuring a 66-year-old paraplegic woman at Super Bowl 51.
The 66-year-old woman was controlling access to the field at the NRG Stadium in Houston and Bennett is accused of shoving his way onto the field after being told to enter elsewhere. The 32-year-old veteran currently has an active warrant out for his arrest in the state of Texas and faces a penalty of up to 10 years in prison, in addition to a $10,000 fine.
Bennett recorded 40 tackles (25 solo), 9 sacks, and a pass deflection in 16 starts for the Seattle Seahawks last season.
