Chargers' Corey Liuget slapped with 4-game PED suspension
Los Angeles Chargers defensive lineman Corey Liuget has been suspended four games by the National Football League for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing drugs.
"I made a mistake and take full responsibility," Liuget said in a joint statement with Chargers general manager Tom Telesco. The 28-year-old defensive tackle essentially said that he trusted the wrong person and it cost him. Liuget signed a 6-year, $58-million deal with the Chargers in 2015.
Liuget recorded 21 tackles (15 solo) with 2 sacks, 2 pass deflections, and 1 forced fumble in 12 games last season.
