Justin Forsett (ankle) absent from Ravens' practice Wednesday
Baltimore Ravens running back Justin Forsett (ankle) did not practice Wednesday.
Forsett's ankle injury came late in the team's Week 5 loss to the Cleveland Browns. Lorenzo Taliaferro wasn't able to practice, either, leaving Buck Allen as the lone healthy back on the Ravens' roster. Head coach John Harbaugh did, however, say earlier in the week that he was optimistic Forsett would play Week 6.
Forsett has logged 271 rushing yards over the past two games, so this is definitely an injury to monitor. That has put him up to 19th in Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) per play out of 55 running backs with at least 25 carries. He's also 11th in Rushing Success Rate, so the efficiency appears sustainable. The Ravens will face a San Francisco 49ers defense that ranks 30th in Adjusted Defensive Rushing NEP per play in Week 6, so whichever running back gets the bulk of the carries has plenty of upside.
