Khalil Mack reportedly not budging on Raiders' holdout
Oakland Raiders contract-year defensive star Khalil Mack will not report to the team before Saturday's preseason game, reports ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Mack will now be up to $1.628 million in fines for missing the second preseason game, but Schefter says "there is no end in sight" to the holdout. At this point, there's no guarantee that the 27-year-old two-time All-Pro and 2016 Defensive Player of the Year will be dressed for Week 1. He's currently due $13.86 million in the final year of his rookie deal.
Based on a 16-game season, numberFire's models currently project Mack to record 81.7 tackles, 11.9 sacks, 2.9 forced fumbles, and 1.4 recovered fumbles in 2018.
