Mychal Kendricks released by Browns following federal charge
The Cleveland Browns released linebacker Mychal Kendricks, general manager John Dorsey said.
In a statement, Dorsey indicated the Browns were aware of Kendricks being involved in a "financial situation" before they signed him to a 1-year deal in March, but "circumstances have changed" due to the emergence of "a different set of facts" and "additional information." Kendricks turned 27 earlier this week.
Kendricks recorded 73 tackles (51 solo) with 2 sacks and 6 pass deflections with the Philadelphia Eagles last season.
