3 NHL FanDuel Values to Target on 11/6/19

Filip Hronek presents fantastic value on defense tonight. What other values players are on this two-game slate?

If you follow the NHL, you already know all of the top players. Obviously, when playing DFS, these players will come at a high cost. In this article, we are looking to find the cheaper value plays to help you afford the superstars.

Filip Chytil, Center, New York Rangers

FanDuel Price: $3,800

Filip Chytil remains far too cheap for his role on the New York Rangers. He has scored two goals in his first three games this season while putting seven pucks on net. He plays with Pavel Buchnevich and Chris Kreider at even strength which is solid. He also plays on the second power-play unit which gives him plenty of upside.

Chytil ranks second among all centers from a points-per-dollar standpoint, according to our projections. This is solid considering the Detroit Red Wings are allowing 3.94 goals against per game which is the second-most in the NHL.

Robert Thomas, Winger, St. Louis Blues

FanDuel Price: $3,500

This is definitely a play you want to consider simply when factoring price vs. opportunity. Robert Thomas is playing on the top line at even strength as he skates alongside Jaden Schwartz and Brayden Schenn. In addition, he will spend his time on the second power-play unit. While this is much less interesting than it would be playing on the top unit, it is still a boost to his value.

Thomas ranks out as the sixth-best points-per-dollar option among all wingers, as per our projections. While the Edmonton Oilers are a much-improved team, there are still some leaks in their game which hopefully the defending Stanley Cup Champions can take advantage of.

Filip Hronek, Defense, Detroit Red Wings

FanDuel Price: $4,300

In 16 games this season, Filip Hronek has managed to put up three goals and eight points which is great for the second-year defenseman. In addition, he has put up 36 shots and 20 blocks which definitely gives him a solid floor in an elite matchup. The Rangers are allowing a 65.76 CA/60 which puts them dead last in the NHL. While the Red Wings 52.38 CF/60 ranks 25th, they should still be able to put up some numbers tonight.

Hronek grades out as the second-best points-per-dollar play, as per our projections. He ends up as the power-play quarterback on the team's second unit which is fine despite not playing on the top unit with the big guns.
