Zack Kassian

Zack Kassian has been called up by Oilers

Edmonton Oilers winger Zack Kassian has been recalled.

What It Means:

Kassian had one goal and six penalty minutes in four games with the Bakersfield Condors, the minor league affiliate of the Oilers. It wasn't expected for Kassian to play for the Oilers until after the All-Star break, but those plans have changed. This recall doesn't automatically mean he'll be in the lineup, but it's a possibility since he's now on the active roster.

Kassian played in the NHL last season, posting 16 points (10 goals, six assists) in 42 games with the Vancouver Canucks. He had average possession stats, as his Corsi For Percentage was 49.9 and his Relative Corsi For Percentage at Even Strength was -1.0, which are just about what his career totals are.
