Jets' Mathieu Perreault skips skate, will play Tuesday

Winnipeg Jets winger Mathieu Perreault didn't skate Monday, but he is expected to play Tuesday against the Dallas Stars.

What It Means:

Perreault skated just under 20 minutes on Saturday, a loss to the Florida Panthers, and it's not known what caused him to miss practice. Regardless, he should be fine for Tuesday's contest.

Perreault has 35 points (nine goals, 26 assists) in 57 games played this season. His shooting percentage is just 8.3, well below his career average of 14.7 percent, so he's had some tough luck scoring goals this season. He has been excellent at driving possession, however, as his Corsi For Percentage is 56.8, and his Relative Corsi For at Even Strength is 6.9. We project Perreault to record another 16 points (six goals, 10 assists) over the remaining course of the season, which would help surpass his career high of 43 points.
