Blues' Ryan Reaves tossed for hit on Matt Tennyson
St. Louis Blues winger Ryan Reaves was ejected from Monday's game after delivering a dangerous hit on San Jose Sharks defenseman Matt Tennyson.
What It Means:
Reaves drilled Tennyson into the boards from behind. He received a five minute major and a game misconduct. Tennyson's head hit the ice pretty hard after he fell. Reaves could be getting a call from the NHL's Department of Player Safety. Tennyson didn't return to the game.
Tennyson has recorded one goal and three assists this season while playing in 28 games. Reaves has two goals and no assists in 48 games.
