Radim Vrbata close to deal with Coyotes

Winger Radim Vrbata is reportedly close to completing a one-year deal with the Arizona Coyotes.

What It Means:

Vrbata has played a total of six seasons with the Coyotes, most recently in 2013-2014. He had his best years with the organization, scoring a career-high 62 points (35 goals, 27 assists) during the 2011-2012 campaign.

The 35-year-old recorded 13 goals and 27 points with the Vancouver Canucks last season, his lowest since 2003-2004 (excluding an 18-game season with the Tampa Bay Lightning). His 47.9 Corsi For Percentage was a career-low, while his 0.2 Relative Corsi For Percentage at Even Strength was worst since his rookie year.
