Cam Ward will defend the post as the Hurricanes host the Islanders
The Carolina Hurricanes will start Cam Ward in goal Tuesday as they host the New York Islanders.
Ward may be 2-1-1 in his last four starts but has not played well at all. He owns a .889 save percentage and a 3.24 goals against average in the four starts. He will have a tough time on Tuesday as well, as the Islanders rank seventh in the NHL with 2.97 goals scored per game.
Our models project Ward for 2.7 goals allowed, 22.8 saves, and a 49.0% chance of earning the win.
