Flyers give Steve Mason the start against Devils
The Philadelphia Flyers will start goalie Steve Mason against the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday.
The Devils and Flyers have both been eliminated from the playoffs. Mason is getting an extended chance to build a starting resumé for next year -- though he is an unrestricted free agent and may end up outside of Philly. Over his last 14 games, Mason has improved to a .926 save percentage and 2.17 goals-allowed average.
numberFire's models project Mason to stop 24.5 shots tonight and allow 2.2 goals while giving him a 58.0 percent chance to earn the win. He is our 11th-best fantasy tender out of the 26 starting goalies available.
