Jon Gillies will make his NHL debut for Calgary on Thursday
Calgary Flames goaltender Jon Gillies will make his NHL debut on Thursday versus the Los Angeles Kings.
A third-round pick in the 2012 NHL Draft, Gillies has spent the last two seasons playing for the Stockton Heat of the AHL. He has a favorable matchup in his debut too as the Kings rank 25th in the NHL with only 2.43 goals scored per game.
Gillies posted a 17-14-1 record with a 2.95 goals against average and a .909 save percentage in 38 games this season.
