Bournemouth vs. Manchester United

Bournemouth +1 (no push) -150

Obviously, it is still early in the EPL season, and many of the teams currently bunched up in the table will soon begin to separate from each other. But for now, Bournemouth and Manchester United are separated by only goal difference in the league table. Despite this, Manchester United remain favorites, even away from home, which could provide an interesting betting opportunity on Bournemouth.

Not only are Bournemouth essentially tied with Manchester United in the standings, but they are actually ahead of United in the WhoScored.com’s team rankings (7th place compared to 13th). This is not to suggest that Bournemouth are a better team than United, but the two sides are playing at an extremely comparable level at the moment, and the Cherries own home-field advantage in this matchup.

The odds may be tilted in United’s favor more than they should be based off their name, and with Bournemouth and United almost dead even, it is hard to pick against the home side to earn a draw or a win.

West Ham vs. Newcastle

West Ham to win -115

West Ham are several places above Newcastle in the league table (10th compared to 17th), but since we are still early in the season, there are only four points separating these two sides.

WhoScored puts West Ham well ahead of Newcastle (6th place compared to 18th), and with the added benefit of home-field advantage, the Hammers should project to be a big favorite in this game. However, the Hammers moneyline can be grabbed at -115 at the moment, providing a great value play considering that there is clearly a talent/form gap between the two sides.

West Ham should come out with all three points this weekend, and it is easy to take them to win given their modest odds.

Watford vs. Chelsea

Chelsea to win -155

Chelsea are miles ahead of Watford this campaign, even on the young season, as they are 15 points and 16 spots ahead of the Hornets in the EPL table. Not only that, but Chelsea is flying high on a four-match league winning streak, while Watford has yet to earn a victory in the EPL throughout the entire season.

WhoScored.com is not kind to Watford’s chances, as they peg Watford as the second-worst team in the league, only very slightly ahead of Southampton, who just suffered a 9-0 blowout defeat to Leicester City. Chelsea have handled Southampton (4-1 win) and Burnley (4-2 win) in their two most recent away matches, and with Watford playing as poorly as anyone in the league, the Blues should be able to continue their good form by earning a victory on Saturday.
