FanDuel Premier League Value Plays for Matchweek 15

Value plays are often the difference on the FanDuel leaderboard. With this year's format, value plays will be priced at $12 or lower in most cases. There will be some exceptions along the way.

This article will cover FanDuel's main slate that begins Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. EST.

Sadio Mane and Jamie Vardy ($22) share the top salary for the midweek slate. Liverpool and Leicester share the top spot for defenders, as well, with Virgil Van Dijk and Ricardo Pereira ($16) at the top salary. Kasper Schmeichel ($15) is the most expensive keeper on the slate.

There are 339 players to pick from on this slate with an average salary just over $10. Over 30 players priced at or below $10 are expected to start. Let's see where the value lies in Matchweek 15.

Forward/Midfielder

Wilfred Ndidi, Leicester ($12)

The Leicester midfielder has scored 19 points in two of the last three matches with good stats on both sides of the ball. Three Matchweeks ago against Arsenal, Ndidi had six tackles and four interceptions. Last match against Everton, he had four chances created for the explosive Leicester offense. Ndidi does get most of his points from his defensive contributions, and Leicester has shut out Watford in three of the last five Premier League matchups. Watford have struggled all season and own just 46% possession on the season, so Ndidi should be able to cancel any attack and join in on the offense with his team controlling play. Ndidi has scored at least 14 points in four of the last five games as part of his most consistent stretch of the season. Ndidi has been a part of seven straight wins across all competitions.

Moussa Djenepo, Southampton ($11)

Djenepo was finally able to make his first impact for Southampton since September after sending in five crosses, resulting in an assist over the weekend. On Wednesday, Southampton face a Norwich side that is tied for the second-most assists conceded to midfielders. Djenepo added five defensive actions and two fouls drawn against Watford. He will start on the right side of the midfield against a team that has allowed two goals in four of their last five. Djenepo's playing time has been inconsistent, but he did score seven goals in Belgium last season. He should continue to see more chances to send in crosses for teammates after fueling the comeback over the weekend.

Onel Hernandez, Norwich ($11)

Djenepo and Hernandez will face off with one another after both provided an assist during Matchweek 14. The Cuban forward has three games of at least 19 FanDuel points in his five starts this season. He has created at least one chance in four straight matches but has been very active defensively. Hernandez has been credited for 3 tackles apiece and 12 total defensive actions in the last two matches. He recorded eight goals and nine assists for Norwich last season in their promotion campaign. With 10 crosses in his last three matches, Hernandez and Djenepo will be likely playing similar roles while trying to stop one another. However, they are both playing well and on teams that need any point they can get in the season. It could be an entertaining back and forth game benefiting both midfielders.

Defender

Fikayo Tomori, Chelsea ($12)

Chelsea and Tomori have had two straight sub-par matches. However, Tomori still averages over 14 points per game padding his stats through blocks. He is earning points almost purely through defensive actions, and Chelsea are used to shutting out Aston Villa. It has been a few years since the teams played in the league, but 2-0 in favor of Chelsea is the best pick for final score, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. Villa had less than 40% possession over the weekend against Manchester United but still forced 15 clearances. Villa were able to score, as well, so Tomori will have to work hard to keep Villa at bay this weekend.

Brandon Williams, Manchester United ($8)

Williams sits at the lowest price available on the slate and is not a guaranteed starter with Luke Shaw ($8) available. However, Williams has started the last three games for United and scored a goal against Sheffield. He has struggled with yellow cards but does have seven tackles, four interceptions, three clearances, and one block. Williams has created three chances in the past three weeks and will face a Tottenham team that has conceded at least two goals in six of their last seven away Premier League matches. United have scored at least two goals in their last three matches and are undefeated in the past five home matches. Either way, the right back of United is in a good spot despite Spurs' current winning streak.

Keeper

Tim Krul, Norwich City ($10)

Krul averages the most points of all expected starting keepers priced under $12. He has 11 saves and 3 clearances over the past two matches and scored 38 points two weeks ago with a shutout against Everton. The game against Arsenal may have been more impressive, as the Gunners had high possession and put Norwich under pressure most of the match. The game on Wednesday should be evenly poised, yet has a chance to go back and forth giving Krul's opportunities for saves. He averages nearly seven points more than opposing keeper Alex McCarthy ($9).

David Martin, West Ham ($9)

After a great first start, Martin should get another chance in a match that odds have being low scoring. Martin made six saves and earned a clean sheet against Chelsea over the weekend to score 35 FanDuel points. This is Martin's first season in the Premier League. He played two seasons with Millwall after seven with MK Dons. He had four clean sheets in 10 starts for Millwall last season. Martin is clearly still an unknown commodity, and West Ham have not played very well over the last month. However, he built ample confidence last week and should bring that into a game with an inconsistent opponent.
