DraftKings Daily Fantasy Soccer Helper for Matchweek 22

The slate for Matchweek 22 in the Premier League on DraftKings has five games all starting at 10:00 am Eastern time. Chelsea, Manchester United and Wolves are the biggest favorites, and a few other teams have interesting players that we can look to roster. So let's see who stands out on this slate.

Forwards to Target

Marcus Rashford ($10,000): Rashford has been one of a few bright spots for Manchester United this season. His 12 goals are tied for fourth in the Premier League. United are at home against Norwich City, the team at the bottom of the table who have also conceded the most goals in the league. In the first meeting between these two teams this season, Rashford had a goal and assist and could easily do damage again in this match. He has scoring odds of -190, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. Rashford makes for a great tournament play given the matchup and the goal scoring form he has shown this season.

Jamie Vardy ($8,100): Vardy's price has fallen from where it was just a few weeks ago, and it's unclear as to why that's the case. He has only one goal in his past three Premier League games, but two of those were against top teams in Liverpool and Manchester City. Leicester City are -165 favorites over Southampton, a team they beat 9-0 back in October. Southampton are in much better form now then they were then, but Vardy is still a good bet to score. He has the same -190 goal scoring odds as Marcus Rashford, but comes at $1900 less. Vardy could easily get back to his goal-scoring form in this match.

Callum Hudson-Odoi ($7,500): Hudson-Odoi could return to the starting eleven for Chelsea with Christian Pulisic out injured. Hudson-Odoi hasn't been starting many games, but he has produced DraftKings points when he does get in, averaging 5.28 crosses per 90 minutes. Chelsea take on Burnley as -370 favorites, the biggest on the slate. Burnley's style is to let the other team have the ball, as they have the second-lowest possession rate in the league, per WhoScored.com. If that happens in this match, look for Hudson-Odoi to have many opportunities to cross and create chances.

Midfielders to Target

João Moutinho ($8,000): Moutinho's price has climbed due to recent form, particularly with how many crosses he has been getting. He has three games of at least 13 crosses since December 1st, and has at least five crosses in every game during that span. He's second in the Premier League with 111 corners taken and sixth with 140 crosses. Wolves are playing Newcastle at home, and Newcastle allows the most crosses in away matches in the league. Moutinho is set up perfectly to rack up the crosses, giving him a reliable floor for his price.

Matt Ritchie ($5,700): Ritchie could return to the lineup for Newcastle on Saturday, and would be too cheap for the set piece taking role he has had in the past. Last season, he took 102 corners for Newcastle and was third in the Premier League with 259 crosses. Even with Newcastle being underdogs on the road, Ritchie is too good of a fantasy point-producer to be just $5,700.

Alireza Jahanbakhsh ($4,900): Jahanbakhsh has appeared to finally have found his footing in English football, scoring his first two goals in consecutive games. He's a player who led the Dutch Eredivisie in goals with 21 in the 2017-18 season. In his start against Bournemouth, he also added eight crosses to go along with his goal. Brighton are underdogs away to Everton, but at only +130, are not projected to be outclassed by any means. They are also ahead of Everton in the table and have scored more goals than the Toffees. Jahanbakhsh isn't the typical midfield punt we usually go for in this price range, though he actually has legitimate goal-scoring ability and upside.

Defenders to Target

César Azpilicueta ($5,700): Azpilicueta has been getting forward pretty effectively for Chelsea this season, he is third on the team with 64 crosses this season. His 24 shot assists rank only behind Lucas Digne for defenders on this slate. If Chelsea are able to dominate possession like we expect, Azpilicueta should be able to attack pretty effectively. Chelsea are also -120 favorites to keep a clean sheet, which would be a nice three-point bonus for Azpilicueta.

Ben Chilwell ($4,900): Chilwell has been an underrated defender for sometime, but with his and Leicester's seasons going well, more people are starting to take notice. He has the second-most crosses on Leicester and the eighth-most for defenders in the league. He only combined for three crosses in tough matchups against Liverpool and Man City, but has no less than four crosses in every other match since November 9th.

Cédric Soares ($3,800): Soares would be the punt option at defender. He averages 3.66 crosses per 90 minutes and has seen his price fall to below $4,000 for the first time since November 9th. The matchup isn't ideal, going up against Leicester, but he has produced over eight fantasy points in two recent games against Tottenham and Chelsea.

Goalkeepers to Target

Kepa Arrizabalaga ($5,900): With Chelsea favored to win and keep a clean sheet, Kepa makes for a reasonable spend at the top of the goalkeeper position. Burnley average the fewest shots on target per game, so there's not too much danger in them scoring a lot of goals on Saturday at Stamford Bridge.

Mat Ryan ($4,200): This Matty Ice isn't the quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons, he's Brighton's Australian goalkeeper. Brighton are more evenly matched than this price for Ryan suggests, and Everton really haven't been anything to be scared of lately. Ryan has allowed multiple goals in just one of his last seven starts, so the blow up potential for him is lower than most keepers around this price range.
