The Los Angeles Angels host the Oakland Athletics tonight, and with the matchup comes righty Daniel Gossett, who mustered a 4.76 SIERA and 17.4% strikeout rate over 91 1/3 innings in 2017.

While Mike Trout is the obvious choice to attack Gossett, we can also look further down the lineup at Luis Valbuena. We have plenty of options at the hot corner tonight, so Valbuena won't get as many looks as the Angels' number-seven hitter, but he packs a punch against right-handed pitching, displaying a 37.3% hard-hit rate and 48.8% fly-ball rate against them since 2014. The new shorter fence in right field can only help his cause.
