With James Conner ruled out after salaries were set this week, Jaylen Samuels is not priced at all like a starting running back, sitting only $100 above the minimum salary at the position.
Even though Pittsburgh Steelers' head coach Mike Tomlin expects to use a committee approach to the backfield, all signs point to Samuels being the top back in the committee.
Samuels will be the starter, and with more receptions in just his final college season (75) than Stevan Ridley has since entering the NFL in 2011 (30), he's a safe bet to get the passing game work.
The Steelers have been the league's second-most pass-heavy team, with a 2.05-to-1 pass-to-run ratio, so being the top back in the passing game should mean plenty of work.
Daily fantasy is usually a very complex game with lots of intricate decisions. Getting the top running back for a team with the league's fourth-most points priced just above minimum salary is not one of those complex spots though. Samuels is far and away the best value on the slate, and not someone you want to fade this week.
