Ward has been out most of the season but returned for FA Cup action last weekend. Burnley won that match to extend their winning streak to three across all competitions. Fulham have lost eight of their last nine away league matches and enter this fixture after being knocked out of the FA Cup by League Two team Oldham. This match sets up well for Ward to get back into league play.

Historically, Ward has averaged nearly six defensive actions per match in his Burnley career. That number is nearly seven in the three matches he played earlier in the season. Ward does not mind getting involved offensively either and Burnley have been winning more possession during their winning streak. They had 57% of the ball against Huddersfield in their last league match. That possession would allow Ward to see the ball at his feet out wide to send crosses into the box.

Once Ward wins back his starting role his cost will likely rise, so his most value comes at this basement bargain price. There are only two other defenders priced at $4,000, the lowest price on the slate.
