We may not be seeing vintage Clayton Kershaw anymore, but even in less than his prime, he's still pretty dang hard to hit. And Paul DeJong will have to deal with him and his success against righties.

Righty bats have really had problems this year against the southpaw, racking up a meager .256 weighted on-base average (wOBA), 24.3% strikeout rate, and 28.1% fly-ball rate.

Against lefties, the Cardinals' shortstop hasn't been so savvy. In 102 plate appearances in 2018, DeJong owns a .305 wOBA and a 26.5% strikeout rate, making other options far better plays up the middle.
