As the largest favorite on the slate, Liverpool is going to be popular, and going after their star forward may be enticing. However, Firmino’s salary might force DFS players into avoiding his attacking counterparts -- Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane -- who could end up offering better value than the Brazilian.

Liverpool have scored six goals in their first two matches of the season, and the last time they were at Anfield, they placed four goals in the back of the net. The Reds are -155 to score more than 2.5 goals and will undoubtedly find the back of the net at some point against the Seagulls. Firmino, as an anytime goalscorer, is listed at -105 -- the same odds as Mane -- while Salah has the best odds in the match at -225.
Firmino scored 15 goals last season, and there is no doubt the Brazilian will eventually get on track. That being said, both Mane and Salah have started the season in good form, and DFS players should look to invest in those two midfielders as ownership could be spread out fairly evenly between the three attackers. With Leicester’s Jamie Vardy suspended, there may be value options at the forward position, which could free up even more money to invest in the Reds' two stud midfielders.
