Midfielder -- James Maddison, Leicester City

Salary: $9,000

Maddison is the fifth-highest priced midfielder for Matchweek 3, and he has averaged 16.6 FanDuel points through two matches, including a 23.9-point performance in Matchweek 2 as he scored his first goal of the season. Maddison has played well through two matches and has replaced a need for the Foxes after they lost Riyad Mahrez, but his role on the pitch may not translate to consistent production in DFS.

The Foxes enter Saturday’s match against the Saints as a slight underdog on the moneyline, while the match is listed as a pick’em and the 2.0 goal over/under total is tied for the lowest on the slate.

Despite scoring his first goal in Matchweek 2, Maddison is +260 as an anytime goalscorer as his lone goal of the season came off a deflected shot. Maddison does have a monopoly on the Foxes’ set pieces, which is always beneficial --- more so on DraftKings -- but with the Liverpool midfielders in what should be a plug-and-play spot, Maddison’s $9,000 price tag may be a bit restrictive. That's especially true given the players priced below him --Wilfred Ndidi (who could offer a safer floor) and James Ward-Prowse -- and with Richarlison priced only $500 above.
