Astros' Jose Urquidy making MLB debut Tuesday
The Houston Astros purchased the contract of starting pitcher Jose Urquidy from Triple-A Round Rock.
Urquidy is making his major league debut Tuesday night against the Colorado Rockies on the road. Coors Field is not an ideal place for a pitcher to get their first taste of big league action.
Urquidy recorded a 3.40 ERA and 0.97 WHIP with 104 strikeouts and 15 walks across 76 2/3 innings between Double- and Triple-A this season.
