Tigers option pitcher Kyle Ryan to Triple-A
Kyle Ryan was optioned to Triple-A after allowing five earned runs in 2.2 innings last night to the Mariners. In a corresponding move, the Tigers recalled Buck Farmer to work out of the bullpen.
What It Means:
The 23-year-old Ryan had a rough go in the big leagues with a 5.64 ERA and 4.99 xFIP in eight games, which included five starts. He also allowed 4.15 walks per nine. All of these factors made him a pitcher you wanted guys in your fantasy lineup to face. We'll see if Ryan gets another chance this year.
