Hyun-Jin Ryu (neck) placed on the 10-day IL by Los Angeles
Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu (neck) was placed on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to August 1.
Ryu is dealing with a bit of neck soreness, which the Dodgers do not consider a big deal. The pitcher is expected to miss just one turn in the rotation is expected to be activated when first eligible on August 11. Tony Gonsolin was called up in a corresponding move and is likely to start on Monday.
Ryu owns a 1.53 ERA and 0.94 WHIP while striking out 117 and walking 16 over 135 2/3 innings pitched this season.
