Cardinals' Alex Reyes to have right pectoral diagnosed
St. Louis Cardinals right-hander Alex Reyes is traveling to St. Louis for diagnostics on a right pectoral injury.
What It Means:
Reyes has been held out of minor league action since late June and it appears he will not pitch again in 2019. He's pitched in just seven innings in the majors over the last three seasons due to injuries. The former top prospect turns 25 later this month.
Reyes allowed 5 runs over 3 innings in four relief appearances for the Cardinals this season.
