Cleveland's Mike Clevinger scheduled for surgery after suffering left knee injury
Cleveland Indians pitcher Mike Clevinger (knee) will reportedly undergo surgery on Friday after suffering a partial tear of the medial meniscus in his left knee.
According to Meisel, a timeline for Clevinger will be made after the surgery is completed. The 29-year old right-hander is expected to be a key member of Cleveland's rotation after performing well in 21 starts last season.
In 126 innings pitched in 2019, Clevinger produced a 2.71 ERA and 169 strikeouts.
