Yankees' Miguel Andujar gets in first base work

New York Yankees third baseman Miguel Andujar took ground balls at first base Wednesday.

What It Means:

Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Andujar's work at third base and the outfield takes priority but that they will continue to give him reps at first base. Third base is the only position Andujar has ever played on a professional diamond, but it looks like the Yankees intend to use him in a utility role off the bench this season. Andujar was limited to just 49 plate appearances last season due to a shoulder injury. He turned 25 in March.

numberFire's models expect Andujar to bat .273 with 6 homers, 23 RBI, and 20 runs scored in 156 plate appearances this season.
